Description
Girl Scouts of Central Maryland (GSCM) will celebrate 100 years of women’s leadership during its sixth annual Women’s Leadership Forum, being held on March 12th—the actual birthday of Girl Scouts in the U.S.A.—at the GSCM Seton Urban Program & STEM Center, located at 4806 Seton Drive between 5:45 pm and 8:15 pm. A special one-woman show, Women: Back to the Future, will be presented by acclaimed performer, Kate Campbell-Stevenson. Through a variety of monologues and costumes, Campbell-Stevenson brings history to life. Among the women she will be profiling are: Rachel Carson, Bessie Coleman, Juliette Gordon Low and Eleanor Roosevelt. Two event partners, Hadassah of Greater Baltimore and the Junior League of Baltimore, will also be celebrating their 100th anniversaries; Mercy High School and the Maryland Women’s Heritage Center are also partnering organizations for the event. Capital Financial Benefit Solutions, LLC and MyCity4Her are sponsors of the event; Monyka Berrocosa, President and Founder of MyCity4Her will serve as the evening’s emcee.
The event is open to the public; admission, which includes the performance, is $25 for adults; girls ages 14 and up are asked to bring 2 non-perishable items for Girl Scouts’ annual Harvest for the Hungry campaign. For tickets contact Maria (Johnson) Darby, Vice President, Advancement, mjohnson@gscm.org or 410.358.9711, ext. 247.
