A focus exhibition of American photographer Eliot Porters mesmerizing, limited edition Trees portfolio, 10 dye transfer prints created between 1958 and 1975 representing a masters view of one of the most basic elements of the landscape, the tree. Each image represents a different treatment, a skillful use of color, light, or composition. Subjects range from the grand to the intimate, from colorful to stark. This edition of the portfolio was given to the University of Maryland by Joseph French and Evergreen is honored to share in its inaugural exhibition in partnership with The Art Gallery at the University of Maryland.
